SPRING CELEBRATION POT LUCK!
Sunday, June 2, 5:30-7:30 //  This year, our typical Spring Business Meeting will be anything but typical.  We’ll be gathering together for a pot luck supper and participating in a celebration of God’s faithfulness over the past year.  If you’re part of the church family at Lewisville and have never been to a business meeting, you’ll want to make this your first one.  If you have been to a meeting in the past, expect the unexpected!  Even if you’ve yet to become a member, all are welcome (Note:  Only members are able to vote when required).  Nursery and child care for young children will be provided so bring the family, your favourite hot dish, and come celebrate with us!

Every Wednesday evening, until June 19, work nights happen for BAC. There are lots of things to be cut, traced, glued, painted, and created to be ready for “Lance LeChance’s Treasure Challenge,” taking place in just 6 short weeks. Camp Wildwood Opportunities
Camper Bible Project – If you would like to contribute by helping place a Bible in the hands of campers who don’t have one, please mark your donation “Camper Bible Project”. The cost per Bible is approximately $6.00.
Supplies – A fun and practical way you can help is with supplies. Most needed items: brooms, dustpans, paper towel, toilet paper, Kleenex, Windex, Mr. Clean or Vim, dish cloths , dish towels, liquid soap, band-aids, crayons, markers, construction paper, scissors, marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate chipits.

Church wide clean-up
This week, May 6-11, lots of volunteers are needed for cleaning and painting jobs throughout the church. Especially needed is lots of help cleaning out storage areas for “Big Garbage Pickup” on Thursday evening. 60th Wedding Anniversary
The children of Marshall & Hazel Thompson (missionaries to Bolivia (22years) and Turkey (15 years) wish to invite their friends to the celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary and the anniversary of Marshall’s ordination. Notice for Seniors
If you think you might qualify for a Low-Income Seniors’ Benefit for 2013, pick up an application form in the church office, put out by the Department of Finance, Revenue and Taxation Division. They have been made available through our local MLA, Chris Collins. Application deadline date is November 30, 2013.

Movie night for Ladies
This Tuesday, April 30th, is the final meeting of our Tuesday Night Ladies group but all ladies are invited to join us to watch the movie “Courageous” and enjoy some special treats including a chocolate fountain! Bring a comfortable chair if you’d like and join us at 7 pm.

Help for Lewisville Middle School—mark your calendar!
We will be hosting a fundraising Spaghetti Dinner for the Lewisville Middle School Playground Improvement Fund on Friday, April 5th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The meal will include a full spaghetti dinner, dessert and beverage. The cost will be $10 per person or $30 for a family of four. Take out will also be available.

GRACE…more than we deserve …greater than we imagine
Today our Worship Choir will present a musical program based on Max Lucado’s book “Grace”, featuring music by the choir and readings taken from Lucado’s book. Grace moves us toward understanding grace, being changed by grace, shaped by grace and strengthened by grace. Presented in both services (9:30 and 11am).

Kids Missions Project
You may notice a giant suitcase in the auditorium covered with tags listing some basic necessity items. Our mid-week kids programs have taken on a project to gather items to send to Haiti and Guatemala with our teams. Please feel free to cheer them on (but leave the tags on the wall).

New Life Mission is selling Vesey’s bulbs and seeds as a Spring fundraiser. If you are interested in making your garden beautiful this Spring, please order through New Life Mission. Baby Gift for Colby Dempster
Colby Washington Dempster was born on January 10th, 2013 to Michael & Jacky (Bailey) Dempster.  Jacky & Colby are home from Alberta to visit with Nana & Papa (Dave & Mary Anne Bailey) and Aunt Miranda.  As Jacky’s church family we would like to bless them, and help them out with money for the various needs of a new baby.  Anyone who would like to contribute to a group gift please see Andrea Woodworth, Joan Schriver, or the church office.  Today is the last day to contribute before they leave later this week!

Come enjoy a meal and program with an international flair.  For starters, you’ll be delighted by our special musical guest, Heather Morton, from Kent County as she whistles her way through some familiar pieces.  (She’ll have CDs available to purchase.)  Surrounded by touches of Irish green, you can fill your dinner plates with Chinese food.  You’ll hear an update about our two missions teams travelling to Guatemala and Haiti and have an opportunity to lend your support (receipts for $10 and over).  Finally, our resident Cape Bretoner will send you home with jokes and spiritual food that is really out of this world!
