RECONNECT
Reconnect has supplied us with a list of items we can collect for them to use in their outreach program. If you would like to make a donation, please take a tag off the tree after Nov. 19, purchase the gift and return it by Dec. 3 and we will pass it along to our partners at Reconnect.

SABBATH WEEK
November 12 to 18 – No Church Programs this week – use the time to Rest, Recharge, Reconnect and Reflect. Visit our website for more.

FALL BUSINESS MEETING & POTLUCK SUPPER
The Fall Business Meeting will be held on Nov. 19 at 5:30pm. The Budget will be presented and a short business meeting held. Please plan to attend, bring your favourite dish, dessert will be provided. All are welcome, but only members can vote.

ANNUAL REPORTS
If you are the head of a ministry, committee or board within the church, it’s time for annual reports again! We’re asking that all reports be submitted via an online form located here: www.lewisvillebaptist church.com/annual-report. Please fill out the form and submit it by Nov. 24, if you have any issues or questions, please contact the church office. Thank you for your help!

SENIOR LADIES TEA
All senior ladies of the church are invited to a Christmas Tea to be held Friday, Dec. 1 from 1:30pm-3:00pm at the church. We hope to see you there. Please sign up using the Connection Card, speak to the Connections Corner Host or call the church office.

GOLDTIMERS
Calling all Seniors! Kick off the Christmas season on Dec. 7, at 12:30 pm at our Christmas gathering. We will have our usual fun, fellowship, some prizes and a delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings! Cost is $15 (tax and tip included). Invite a friend! Hope to see you there!

MARRIAGE SEMINAR
Chris Mealey will be facilitating our marriage seminar. There will be four sessions here at the church, Oct. 15, 22, 29 and Nov. 5 from 6:30-8pm. Please sign up if you need child care. Cost is $10.00.

NHM is holding a conference on Oct. 21st from 8:30am to 4pm at Whitepine Church in Riverview. The topic for the day is “Longing For Peace – Calming the storm of Anxiety, Trauma and Fear”. WMS MEETING
All ladies are invited to the September WMS meeting. It’s on Monday the 25th, 11:30am to 1pm. Bring your lunch. Dessert, tea/coffee will be provided. Our special guest this month will be Laura Lee Bustin.

MEN’S SMALL GROUP
Men’s small group has started meeting on Thursday evenings here at the church. Come out for the Prayer Time at 6:30pm & the small group time starts at 7:30pm.

MIDDLE SCHOOL FUNDRAISER
Lewisville Middle School is having a fund raiser on Sept. 30 from 9am to 2pm at the school. All you have to do is take a car for a free test-drive and Ford of Canada will donate money to the school. Just a few minutes of your time can help make a difference to the school.

MARRIAGE SESSIONS
Upcoming opportunities to care for your Marriage. Chris Mealey will be facilitating four sessions on: Oct. 15, Oct. 22, Oct. 29 and Nov. 5 from 6:30-8pm. Please sign up if you need child care that evening. Stay tuned for more details.

We’ll answer questions like, “Why become a member?”, “What does becoming a member mean for me?” and “How do I get started?”. If you’re considering membership or are even just a little curious, come and join us!

Maybe the concept of a spiritual gift is new to you. Or maybe you’ve never stopped to consider what your gifting might be. This video-based class is designed to help you understand what spiritual gifts are all about, to help you discover your gifting and begin to put it into action!

VOLUNTEER TRAINING EVENT
Tonight at 6:30pm, we will be holding a training event for all Connection Team Volunteers, Greeters, Ushers, Hosts and Team Leaders. Please plan to attend. Some new ideas on handling challenges we face on Sunday mornings.

GOLDTIMERS
Calling all Seniors! Our fall gathering will be supporting Camp Wildwood as we join them for a Seniors’ Day, Tuesday, September 19, from 9:30am – 2:30pm. The suggested donation cost for the day, which includes a meal and morning coffee and muffins, is only $15.00! A mini bus, which has room for 20 people, will be leaving the church parking lot at 9 am sharp that morning. Please let us know if you need to reserve a seat, plan to take your own car or have arranged to go with someone else. Hope you can join us for this fall outing to Wildwood. Contact D.J. Moore or Dovie Parlee if you have any questions.

If you’d like to contribute to a money tree, please just bring it that evening or if you can’t attend see Miriam Robichaud, Jill Somers or drop it off at the office.

IT’S CELEBRATION TIME!
We are thrilled to share the news the adoption is now complete! We are so thankful for all the support, encouragement and especially prayers that have helped us each step of the way through the adoption process. We’d love to have you come celebrate with us here at the church on Saturday, Sept. 16. You are invited to drop in between 2 and 4 pm for a sweet treat as we celebrate and share our thanks. (No gifts please)

Our recent Tuck’d Away fundraiser for Camp Wildwood scholarships raised over $1500.00 and we had over $600.00 left from last year. But we still have a few more requests for kids to go to camp than we can cover. If you missed giving on June 4 and would like to add to this fund and help send these kids, please give and write “Camp Wildwood Scholarships” on your offering envelope. We don’t want to see anyone miss the opportunity to experience camp.

Spencer Home Ladies Auxiliary is looking for volunteers to help in a number of ways but especially with the afternoon tea program and running the boutique. Your commitment could be once a week for a couple of hours or once or twice a month depending on your schedule. Any amount of time would be greatly appreciated by the residents and their families. If you are interested in finding out more about this opportunity, please speak to Deb Coates or D.J.Moore.

BIBLE ADVENTURE CAMP
This year’s BAC, “Game Changer” was a big success! Thank you to all our faithful and enthusiastic volunteers and staff. We couldn’t do it without all of you! We had 150 kids register for BAC and raised a total of $575.00 to give to the Breakfast Program at Arnold H. McLeod Elementary School. Thank you to everyone who donated supplies, gift cards, food and their time and energy!

LEADERSHIP SUMMIT 2017
The Global Leadership Summit is a two-day event telecast LIVE from Willow Creek in Chicago to hundreds of locations in North America. The Leadership Summit telecast is being held at Hillside Baptist Church, 2290 Mountain Road, August 10th & 11th.
