‘Fireproof’ Movie
Dave Creighton’s small group will be viewing ‘Fireproof’ in the Meeting Room this afternoon at 3pm.  All are welcome to attend.

Potluck with Paul & Kelly Carline
Join us tonight at 5:30pm for a potluck with our Partners-In-Mission, Paul & Kelly Carline, serving as CBM Global Field Staff in Nairobi, Kenya.  The Carlines are in Canada on home assignment and would like the chance to tell us about their work in Africa.  Please bring your favourite main dish or salad to share; dessert and beverages will be provided.

ABW Meeting Notice
Ladies please remember that Monday, February 13th is our next ABW meeting.  We’ll be hearing from  several of our members about where our money goes.  You can still contribute to the Crandall Auxiliary Fund as well as toonies for abuse victims in the Congo. Please bring your brown bag lunch and we’ll have something tasty to share.  See you at 12 noon!

Square One Sports Night
Square One will be meeting on Monday, February 13th at 7pm for a sports night in the gym.  Any post high school young adults are welcome to join them!

Square One Skating & Games Night
And on Sunday, February 19th Square One is having a games night!  We will start off skating at the Kay arena (public skate is 2:45-4:15pm), and then go to the Moore’s for supper and games.  Come join the gang for all or part of the time!

Camp Wildwood Ember Club Dinner
All are invited to attend Camp Wildwood’s Ember Club Dinner at Crandall University on Thursday, February 23rd.  It will begin with punch at 6pm followed by a delicious meal.  This will be a very informative evening as they share highlights of summer 2011 and exciting plans for 2012!  The Ember Club continues to help the ministry of Camp Wildwood move ahead and maintain financial stability.  Please reserve your place by calling the camp office (743-2757) by February 20th.

Coffee House & Silent Auction
On Friday, February 24th from 7-9pm, we will be hosting a Coffee House & Silent Auction in support of the Second Mile Food Bank on Lewisville Road.  Admission is $5 per person.  Sit down and relax with a cup of hot coffee and a muffin (included in the price of admission) and enjoy an evening of entertainment.  Come prepared to bid on one or more of the fabulous auction items we will be featuring.  All proceeds will be given to the Food Bank.

Single Mom Spa Day
On Saturday, February 25th from 10am-1pm we will be hosting a Spa Day for  single moms.  Choose from hair, nails or make-up! Enjoy coffee and snacks, crafts and even free gifts!  Childcare will be provided free of charge, and you can even have your car detailed while you wait!  Spaces are limited, so please call (853-7552) or email ( to make an appointment before February 19th.

Lewisville 101 Membership Class
If you are interested in participating in our Lewisville 101 Membership Class, please sign up on your Connections Tab or at Connections Corner.  We will be holding a membership class the last Tuesday of every month at Dale Somers’ home (5 Warner Lane).  Our next class will be on Tuesday, February 28th at 6:30pm.

Compassion Week Volunteers Needed
Compassion Week is fast approaching and there are still a number of volunteer slots available for each of the events.  Be sure to sign up after the service to help with one of the five ‘here to serve’ opportunities during that week.  Two events, specifically, need volunteers.  Donations can be dropped of at the church during Compassion Week (February 20-25th).

Food Bank Coffee House & Silent Auction

  • Organizers/coordinators for talent portion of the evening
  • People to make muffins
  • Donation of silent auction items (minimum value of $5—can include gift certificates, homemade jams, jellies, pickles, etc.)

Single Mom Spa Day

  • Food & product donations
  • Craft coordinators
  • Childcare providers
  • Hostesses/greeters
  • Kitchen volunteers

Church Keys
Attention all church key holders!  We are now locking the interior lobby door during the week as a security measure.  However, the new lock is causing problems for some of the keys currently issued.  Please try your key in both locks, and if it needs replacing, please notify the office.
